Happy Saturday everyone and thanks for stopping by. My weekend got started off on a chili note Saturday morning at the annual Chilifest over in Huntington. This was my first chance to really get out and meet and greet as part of my new TV family and it was a blast.
I usually only bring the sombrao when the tequilla is flowing… but I made an exception today! 
The weather this weekend has been as expected so far. We have had pleasant temps in the low 80s with a few clouds and even some scattered showers and isolated storms across the state. Those dry forecasts some were going with aren’t working out very good. It’s not like we are seeing big rains… but those who live by the GFS MOS die by it as well. I continue to be amazed at how some people refuse to forecast and let ONE computer model do it for them. Wimps! 
I will have a big update coming later tonight so be sure and check back. The big thing I am watching is for an eastern US storm to crank by mid week. What happens to this storm as far as the track is concerned? Do we get any tropical system to interact with it? Both are big questions that have to be answered and both will have a big impact on our weather… for good or bad.

Possible big eastern storm by mid-week…very interesting. That sounds about right as Morgan County Sorghum Festival starts Friday!! Keep us informed of festival weather for next week!

Thanks Chris…while we do need the rain here in Letcher County, we do not want rain on the Mountain Heritage Festival–especially the parade–this coming week.
Now I am mad….this stupid dry weather is killing my 2 yr old trees. I have watered them myself but it isn’t enough. Come on Chris, a nice mid week storm would be wonderful. You and the NAM come up with something.
I’m in Richmond and we got a nice shower tonight. Probably not enough to help much but we did get a little. I had a wedding at FBC and it was raining as they left the church in the limo.
They had a tent to go to so we are fine and the wedding was inside. My duties were over at the wedding.
I love the cooler temps.
Hey Chris you are looking good!!!!!!!! Just got in from the last, I am sure,pool party at my girlfriends house.We did have the tequila flowing or I should say margarita’s.I think we were wearing hats too lol!!!!!! It was girls only till my husband crashed lol!!!! We had a ball we were doing karaoke and the whole 9 yards!!! We put my husband to work grilling.Fall is definitely in the air at night the pool was warm and heated till I stepped out it was cold!!!!! We had several fireplaces and torches lit.We were singing on the loud karaoke machine and my husband sneaks in from around the back gate and hollers police department lol!!!!
Chris you are looking mighty fine. I was shopping today at the huntington mall i should have came to this evevt i would have got to meet you maybe. Crystal sounds like you was having a very good time.
