Hi everybody and welcome to the weekend. I don’t have a whole lot to say this evening because the weather is playing out as forecast. Our slow moving cold front is bringing some much needed rains to parts of the region and that will continue into Saturday. We have Hanna ready to hit South Carolina and I have tons of tracking maps and live cams for you.
The shower chance will be with us into Saturday across central and eastern Kentucky. Tailgaters at Commonwealth Stadium may have to deal with some rain drops. These should move east by kickoff… but it’s going to be close.
Here is a couple of radars to track the showers and isolated thunders…
I promised a lot of Hanna maps and I aim to please! Here ya go…

Hey marsha….where you been?
GO CATS!!!! Hannah may still make hurricane strength.
Hey Chris! Its been such a busy week that I have barely had time to read your posts! I have been watching the radars and the forecasts on the tropical storms with great interest this week. #1, I have two sisters who live in Florida, on the east side, and #2, I plan on joining them next week on Thrusday for about 10 days, and we are flying this time. So, as you can see, I have quite good reason to be interested in what is going on out in the Atlantic!
From what I have seen today, it looks like Ike may go more west and a little more south before it finally makes that northwest turn. I am hoping that it does justs that, and loses some of its strength before it finally makes landfall….somewhere! If it stays as strong as they think it might, well, then, I would not wish that on anyone!
I hope you won’t mind some ameteur weather reporting from (hopefully) sunny Florida for a few days! I plan to take my laptop with me, and keep up with things going on here at home while we are gone.
Please keep up the updates on Ike, as he seems to be the one that is trying to throw the monkey wrench into my plans.
Everyone have a good, safe weekend, and enjoy all the football games. I am watching Ball State/Navy right now, and it is a pretty good game. Well, got some packing to do, so I will end this with the familiar chant….GO BIG BLUE! GO BIG BLUE!!!
I am SOOOO happy to have gotten some rain here in Mercer today. The last couple of times rain moved through KY we got nothing.
Got family in FL and keeping a close watch on Ike, as are they.
Hey coffeelady – you be careful and have a great time!!
Good Evening All. I too am SOOO thankful to finally have rain fall on our poor little dried up homestead. We have only got 3/10″ so far, but the radar looks to be bringing another shower shortly. What a tropic week. God Bless all in their track. Have a good weekend all, Happy B-day, Crystal.
Have a good visit with your sisters Coffeelady! But please stay vigilant and be safe! Try to leave us a note if you can.
