Good Friday evening everyone. Showers and thunderstorms have really ramped up across the state as we head into the evening hours. Numerous severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued across the north. These are also putting down a ton of rain leading to some local flash flooding.
I think the blog mentioned the chance for some strong storms a few days ago!!! ![]()
Storms will continue to race to the east through the evening. Here are a couple of updating radars for you to follow them…
We will keep an eye on them through the evening. They should begin to weaken out some after the sun goes down.
Gustav is on his way to becoming a MONSTER! It’s a hurricane and is rapidly developing on it’s way toward the Gulf. Thanks Chris…keep us posted on the storms.
On radar it looks as though the rain is pouring when actually the sun has come out and we’v only had a very light shower in in Versailles. Go figure!
I think someone needs to check the radar. It rained 10+ straight hours on Wednesday from just before midnight until well into the morning here, but it never showed a thing on radar. Granted, it was not heavy, just a good heavy drizzle/light rain. Tonight it shows dark greens and yellows, and we have not even had enough rain to completely wet the concrete.
David in Gtown…..I’m glad it’s just not me or in my neighborhood. I was beginning to think I was being a nut case. LOL!
