Good Tuesday evening to one and all. Our tropical storm is bring a whole lot of love to the eastern half of the state. As expected… we are seeing a very sharp western cutoff to the rain shield. Here is a look at a few radars for you…
A general 1″-3″ of rain is likely across the east and southeast through Wednesday. Winds will be rather gusty as well with 20-25mph gusts a possibility.
Help out your fellow bloggers and leave us some weather reports from your hometown!
I will have a full post later tonight. Take care.

Thanks Chris…a good soaking rain all day here in Letcher County. What are your thoughs on Hurricane Gustav???
Tunbleweed have been sighted in my backyard blowing in the breeze. It is a cool but humid 75ish here, less than 1/2 inch of rain this month, and no relief coming soon by the looks of it.
Nice constant rain. Slight breeze here in Staffordsville on the outskirts of Paintsville. What a wonderful soaker. Just can’t get much better than this.
Thanks Chris! We got zilch from remenants of Fay here in Versailles. Thanks to God we did get that downpour yesterday. I’m so glad those of you in the eastern part of the state are getting Fay though. I know how badly you all needed the precip.

Wow, Talk about a moderate steady soaking rain here in Perry County. That’s what we’ve seen the last six hours or so!! Not light.. but not too heavy.. perfect rain!

In Haldeman, KY, its been a slight sprinkle since about 7:00. Still sprinkling…although not much wind.
Pretty much had a steady rain all day here in London. It’s been nice to see but made driving around today a bit of a pain, windows fogging up, slick roads and all. I’m hoping it’ll bring the water level of my pond up, it’s down about a foot from where it was in April.
Talking about the tropics, anyone else looked at some of the model outputs on Gustav? I’m a bit worried we might see a repeat of Katrina, and gas might be heading back up if goes through those oil rigs. Chris what are your thoughts about Gustav right now?
So had this been a winter storm. This storm rode up the east side of the apps, right? Or no? West side? either way hardly any precip in lex. I thought to get good snows this was about the track we needed. But with this, we didn’t even get any rain.
Thank you for finally explaining that so well
