Good late Monday evening gang. An active weather period is ahead of us across the state as the heat trying to push into the state gets smacked down by a stout cold front. This front is likely to spawn some intense thunderstorms as well.

As I write… a nasty thunderstorm complex is diving southeastward into the Ohio Valley. Here is a radar loop from around 11:30 or so Monday night. Click on the image and it will take you to an updated radar.

Folks in northeastern Kentucky need to keep an eye on this as into the overnight hours. It has caused a lot of wind damage so far so let’s be on guard.

The rest of Tuesday will feature temps heading toward the lower 90s with plenty of humidity to go around. I am not sold entirely on the 90s since we will have to watch for some more storms going up. After that… it gets cool for the weekend with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and lows in the low to mid 50s.

I will be watching the storms and update as needed. Take care my friends.
