Good afternoon everyone. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is out for parts of northern Ky until 8pm. Here is a look at the watch box…
Storms are developing across Indiana and Illinois and will roll southeastward over the next several areas. Some of those could become severe.
Other scattered storms will continue to develop across Kentucky through the afternoon.
I will try to post as much as possible this afternoon… but it’s a busy day for me so just hang tough. Take care.

Those storms seemed to have gained intensity as they moved south of Versailles. At least the southern part of my county is getting some rain!

Folks, get ready for gas prices to spike tomorrow. Dolly is headed for the gulf, and the oil futures speculators are going to be all over it. Here is an interesting question to ponder: Would the NHC hold back its real thinking about where the storm is going to go and how strong it will be in order to avoid a panicked gas demand?
After all, it is a government agency. I’m no conspiracy theorist, but it will be interesting to see if the track and intensity forecast change markedly over the next several days.
Looks like there is a chance that those storms in southern Indiana might clip the Lex area if they can stay together till dusk.

Strong and severe storms will contin to roll southeastward across the state through the evening hours. Damaging winds and large hail will continue to be the main threats. Stay safe and I will be back on in a few hours. Again… thanks for posting the latest warnings for me! I appreciate it!!!!!

VERY nasty & extremley strong storm in carter county. Whoever is in the path of this thing needs to get to a sturdy shelter cause this one has a nasty punch to it. I got home not even 2 minutes before this storm hit. The sky was black & clouds were very low. I had to help my grandmother get in the house & my husband was behind her & the wind was so bad it almost blew us off the steps & tree limbs (big ones) went flying past our heads. The wind was at least 45mph. Our lights flickered 4 times so far. Its so black out & such heavy rain we can’t see out our door. Stay safe everyone!!! this one means business. Is the other line of storms going into central ky or will they affect eastern ky to?
