Good evening everyone. Those storms that moved through eastern Ky earlier in the day packed a nice little punch with some high winds and torrential rains. Now we track a smaller line of strong storms near Louisville. Those will continue to push off to the east over the next couple of hours.
Expect these storms to move eastward near the I-64 corridor. High winds and some hail will be possible to go along with intense lightning and heavy rainfall. I notice a couple of warnings are out for those cells in Jefferson and Bullitt counties.
This has been a hot and humid day for many. The sweat factor has been waaaay up out there today. But… we have had a nice breeze blowing all day helping us out a bit. That is one interesting thing I have noticed about everyday this summer when thermometers have made a run toward 90… the winds have helped us out.
Widespread showers and storms will be with us later on Tonight into Wednesday and I will focus on that with the late evening post. I’ll also keep an eye on those storms to our west and comment as needed.
Take care.

Am I first? Have to keep tradition going.
Hope all is well out west, we have a group of kids at Camp Crestwood just outside of Louisville.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SPENCER AND SHELBY COUNTIES.
Hey Chris……I’d call that nice little breeze down right windy at the moment! I guess it’s off those storms you’re speaking of that looks to be headed my way here in Versailles. At least I’m hoping they are. Last weekend storms coming from that direction came right up to my side of town and split north and south. We got a little rain out of those but not much. I need the garden watered!
Powlerlines down in Shelby county. Watch out Frankfort!
I love getting the e-mail updates, Chris. So convenient.
