Good afternoon gang. I am at a meeting this afternoon but had to sneak away when I saw all the strong storms going up across eastern Ky. Some of these have been severe and that will continue to be a possibility through the rest of the day. Torrential rains are also with these storms so watch the streams for rapid rises.
We are still looking at the potential for more widespread stuff in here later Tonight and Wednesday and I will update that a little later on today.
Take care.

Nice thunderstorm moving through here at my office in Floyd Co. Very heavy rain and lightning bouncing all around. Makes me feel so calm. I love this stuff!
Getting ready to get hammered here in Williamson, WV. It’s looking like we are going to an inch or more of rain in a very short time.
Chris i am getting pounded in Pikeville right now lighting rain thunder and the blackest clouds i have seen in awhile.
ALso Marsha CANT POST CHRIS ANY SUGGESTIONS????????
Thanks Chris fo the update…earlier, a powerful storm moved through Letcher County between 12:30 and 1:15…tons of lightning with that storm.
Chris-
As always thanks for the update. We appreciate them.
The clouds have been rolling in here in East Bernstadt for the last hour or so. From the looks of the radar, it won’t be too much longer before we get in on the rain.
My god if thats not a severe thunderstorm than i dont know what one is. Shingles are flying around here outside of Williamson. We’ve had warnings for a lot less than this.
thanks chris, nothing yet in the lexington area. one good thing about being further ne is the addtional clipper snows you will get.
we have had some thunder in Fleming Co. but so far no rain.
Hey Chris.
Its soooo muggy in Lex right now! I feel like something could explode at any moment. Oh well. we kind of need the rain.
Johnson County got the bad boy for about an hour. Heavy rain, lightning, wind gusts, the whole 9 yards. Settled down quite a bit now.
We had some thunder and moderate rain here in Bath a while ago but nothing severe. It sounded like it would be bad but it wasn’t. Thanks Chris!! You never let us down!!

Chris,
I hope you “didn’t” mind it, but I put your blog addy on Jessica Ralston’s blog. I want the Tri-State area to check you out. Since I have access to WKYT and WSAZ, I suppose I have the best of both worlds. Borek will be a great guy for WKYT, but I’m glad to see CB coming to WSAZ since it’s MY CHANNEL FOR NUMBER ONE NEWS!
