Good evening, gang. Nothing has changed with my overall thoughts on the weekend and into next week. Winter weather chances are lined up, so we can’t say we aren’t in the ball game this go around. Now, let’s see what Mother Nature’s game plan is.
Snow showers and flurries are dancing about the sky this evening, and could put down light coatings…
The Sunday-Monday system continues to look like a general 1″-3″ snowfall for much of the region. Here’s the European Model…
The GFS snowfall numbers by Monday…
We will need to watch for some bands of locally higher amounts showing up with that system. The dynamics are pretty decent for this system.
Another front zips across the region on Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and some light snow…
The models then develop another system by Friday.
The European…
GFS
That system then paves the way for a potential bigger system for our region. Here’s the GFS…
The European…
Looks… interesting!
I’ll see you for a full update late tonight. Enjoy the evening and take care.
Thanks Chris! Fingers crossed! 🙂
This teacher needs a snow day. My kiddos need a snow day. We’re all exhausted. The GFS “by Monday” snowfall map just said LOL…too bad NKY!!!!!
*sigh* I need to move. I’m getting downright depressed about the lack of snow.
Why did I look at the European an immediately see the word ICE! Please no ice!
The storm starts out with ice and changes to rain and finishes out with festive snowflakes.
Same drill year after year.
I’ll be traveling from Western Kentucky to Frankfort early Monday morning. Is there a possibility of bad travel conditions early on Monday -say between 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.?
If we miss next weekend’s system to the south again, I’M DONE with this worst winter EVER!!
The storm Sunday moved west…
Wrong!!!
You see anything good in the next week Prelude?
Just kidding…-lol.
It’s been so serious here.
Or maybe it was east.
Maybe I should start a blog with the rest of you professional negative nellies. Nah , I’ll stick with Chris
Lol
The voice of reason tonight would really get your negative Nellie-meter up to 11. Almost like he thrives on being more conservative of CB for anything snow.
Stay positive. The next three weeks will bring snow! It’s time to believe.
