Good Tuesday evening. We have a quick hitting wet snow heading into the area overnight into Wednesday. This system will be fighting temps just above freezing and a mild ground. But, it should still be able to put down some slushy accumulation.

Here is something that’s been a rarity this winter,a first call for snowfall map…

Much of what falls will be melting on contact… especially across the south. Elevated and grassy surfaces will be the main areas to see some accumulating snow. I’m not expecting a whole lot in the way of slick travel, but it may come down hard enough to cause a quick slick spot.

Light snow will taper off from west to east Wednesday afternoon into the evening.

This isn’t a one and done snow chance. I like the Friday night into Saturday morning chance for snow along and behind an arctic front. This will usher in some very cold air for the weekend and some temps may not make it out of the 20s for highs.

We also have a couple of systems to watch into next week. Old Man Winter is trying to prove he is still alive and kicking.

Have a great evening and take care.
