Good Tuesday evening, gang. The snow system this morning worked out pretty much as planned with a light snowfall for some. This was enough to get make a few kids and teachers smile. 🙂

The snow didn’t stick around long as temps warmed well above freezing with light rain taking over. The ugly Valentine’s day weather rolls into our evening and the forecast isn’t looking much prettier over the next few days.

A storm system rolls our way by Wednesday night and Thursday. Clouds will increase ahead of this on Wednesday as our temps mild up to near 50. Showers arrive quickly from west to east during the evening and carry us into Thursday.

This is another quick mover that will scoot in and out of here and should leave us with a decent Friday and Saturday. Normal temps and some sunshine should be noted.

It’s time to really start focusing on a possible storm for the Saturday night and Sunday. The models have been rather bullish on a big storm developing across the deep south and working into the Carolinas during this time. That is usually a track favorable for accumulating snow around here. The latest GFS is showing the potential…

The European has this same low…

Let’s put this one in the “keep a close eye on” folder.

The same run of the European Model also shows another storm to keep an eye on next week…

Have a great evening and take care.
