Good Tuesday evening everyone. The threat for severe thunderstorms has just about ended across the state. The action looks to stay just to our south, but may try to clip far southeastern Kentucky later this evening.
Heavy bands of showers and thunderstorms will continue across the eastern half of the state with up to another inch possible. Some areas have been dealing with high water issues from the 1″-2″ rains from earlier today, so this will have to be watched.
High winds are kicking up right now and this trend will continue into the evening. Gusts of 35mph will be possible along a cold front sweeping eastward.
Another update will come your way later this evening as I focus more on the chances for accumulating snows early next week.
Track some rain until then…
Take care.

LOL at the models…If im reading the 18z right it now shows the cutoff low in Louisiana..Have fun trying to figure this one out…But i guess with these cutoff lows its nearly impossible to pinpoint where they will close off..who gets what and where is anyones guess…
Just saw a Louisville TV weather guy’s forecast for monday, 58 degrees & Sunny. The weather channel has it 35 rain/snow?
Just a little confusion of the models right now or what??
nice to see Chris putting out some evening updates. He is either a little excited, or… just likes to string us along. either way its nice to have something to track. as for the models, i’ll trust the pattern these lows have taken the last couple months and hope for plenty of wrap around moisture! Sit back and enjoy the ride!!
