Good afternoon everyone. Severe thunderstorms are racing across parts of western and southern Kentucky this afternoon and a new SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is out for a number of counties until 5pm CDT. Damaging winds and large hail will accompany these storms as they race southeastward toward Nashville.

The potential is there for more storms to fire up across the rest of the state later today into this evening and we will continue to keep an eye on that.

Looks like the bluegrass is going to stay dry. Too bad, my grass could have used it. Guess I’ll go fire up the sprinklers. At least I didn’t have to mow this weekend.
