Good Monday everyone. Our new week is starting off on a very nice weather note across the bluegrass state. Temps will be on the increase over the next few days as the 70s move back in. The second half of the week won’t be as clear-cut as we have a little model battle going on.
Highs today will warm well into the 60s for central and eastern Kentucky with low 70s in the west. Skies will be mainly sunny. Tuesday and Wednesday look much warmer. The NAM shows how the 70s take over…
The warm air is ahead of a cold front that will swing in here on Wednesday. This front will bring a line of showers and thunderstorms to the region. The NAM Simulated Radar shows this line coming together right on top of us…
That line may have a few strong or severe storms with it and we will need to watch that possibility. Any chance the atmosphere gets to produce severe storms this spring… it does.
The end of the week finds the GFS looking much warmer for the end of the week into next weekend while the European Model has a cooler look…
chris you’re a lucky guy forecasting the weather on bourbon street! Don’t get to crazy now!
