Good Sunday everyone. The weather over the next several days will have you thinking it’s March instead of May as we get into some UGLY conditions. Cool to chilly temps and on and off showers will be common for much of the week ahead. Yea… I know… it totally stinks. I’m just the messenger.

Low pressure continues to spin across the eastern Ohio Valley today. Some wraparound showers will be with us today and you can follow those here…

This will be a breezy day and our temps will be a shell of what we just had. Highs today will have a very hard time getting out of the 50s for many areas. You can see the sad truth here…

A slow moving upper level low will be spinning across the region for much of the upcoming week. Low pressure will also crank up across the Carolinas and slowly work northward from there. This will throw some moisture our way and increase the threat for some showers. This unsettled period should carry us into Thursday before finally beginning to ease up.

This is not a week where it is going to rain all the time and there may even be some periods where skies clear out some.

Temps will be the big story of the next several days. Areas getting in on clouds and showers for the better part of a given day will struggle to get to 50 for afternoon highs.

If skies clear out at night… our temps have a good chance of dipping into the 30s. The GFS is on board for Tuesday morning…

There is some light at the end of the March weather tunnel as I am expecting a nice surge of warm air by next weekend. This is likely to take us, for the most part, through the rest of May. This is likely to come with a price as the severe weather threat should ramp back up with another active period looming from the plains into our region.

Have a great Sunday and take care.
