Good Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. The good news of the day is that Momma Boucher says the weather across the state is looking fantastic. It might even be nice enough for a game of fools ball. ![]()
Our day will start out with some lingering showers and thunderstorms… especially in the east. Skies will quickly become partly to mostly sunny as temps soar into the 70s for many. Low 80s will be likely in the far west.
Say goodbye to the early day rains here…
Warm air will really surge in here Monday and should hang around for most of the week. Temps in the 80s will be common during this time.
There will be a drawback as the position of the ridge in the plains is likely to place us on the eastern periphery of the warmest air. Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will likely fire up to our northwest then work in here. You can see what i’m talking about on the NAM…
Tuesday Afternoon
That pattern is being held in place by that huge low you see out in the western Atlantic Ocean. That effectively blocks up the pattern and keeps the warm air around here for several days. Once that low gets out of the way… we will see a return of the cooler pattern. That is likely by next weekend.
We will cross that bridge when we get there. Until then… let’s enjoy the run of warm temps that will take us through the next several days. You had better do it because Momma Boucher says so and she is never wrong. Ain’t that right Colonel Sanders?
(I really hope you guys have seen The Waterboy or my lame attempt at humor will be lost)
Have a great Sunday and take care.

LOL….GGGAAATTTOOORRRAAADDEEE…NO! H20! Love that Movie!
So, are there any more prominent looking areas in the forecast as far as severe weather goes? I know that you had talked about the severe weather continuing into May, but you haven’t spoke of it recently. Just curious 🙂
Thanks for the Mother’s Day wishes, Chris. Also for the beautiful weather we woke up to this morning. Love the sunshine, and the warmer temps. Did see blackberries in bloom yesterday, so maybe that has had something to do with the cooler temps, as well.
HAPPY Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there today. May your day be of blessings and love.
I imagine with the return of the cooler pattern next weekend we will see storms when it mixes with the warm air.
Blast from the past. Great one. Have a good day everyone. Foosball is not for the debil no matter what momma says.
Anyone notice how when summer gets here, we are all just looking forward to football season? Lol. But it is so far away. Lol Idk. But I want it to rain some more, I am tired. However, flooding.Eh not so much.
Happy Mothers day to all my weather family Moms!
I hate Adam Sandler!
expecting thunderstorm complexs rolling in from the nw not heat this week. in fact high soil moisture and clouds from mcs’s will likely lead to temp busts. ne ky has higher chance for flooding and severe weather, not much of a tornado threat.
