Good Saturday evening. We are wrapping up an ugly day across the bluegrass state as our weather looks and feels anything but spring-like. At least we aren’t staring at this for the next few days…
That’s the new snowfall forecast map from the NAM model and it shows the potential for well over a foot of snow for the West Virginia mountains northward into Pennsylvania. Do you realize the amount of damage that could cause right now? Wow.
You will also notice a little snow showing up across far eastern Kentucky. I fully expect some flakes to fly Sunday night and Monday morning and cannot rule out a slushy accumulation on some of the higher mountains.
I want my spring back.
Have a great evening and take care.
Wow, snow in the mountains. Been a strange weather year.
seriously!? Late April and now I’m in the 6-8 range. No Thanks!!
I guess I will have to keep an eye on this!
Hoping for that late jog South and West. I’ll take snow anytime I can get it. Fingers crossed for an early Winter this year! I sure have missed those clown charts ;).
That map reminds me of the mid-1980’s when we got the huge snow in April…..I was a student at UK at the time and we got about 18 inches there….more here in Eastern KY.
Who’s up for a trip to pittsburg? lol
LOL.
If severe wx is more appealing, much of Florida is now under a tornado watch this late Sat night. On the other hand, a rain-wrapped twister in darkness might take some of the fun out of the chase 😉
