Good afternoon. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is now out until 11pm for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Rounds of severe storms will continue to blast the state this evening with damaging winds and large hail likely.
Here’s a look at the watch outline and the current warnings:
Have a great evening and take care.
Looks like the same places that got hit yesterday are getting it again. Not fair!
I’m sure the people that had to be evacuated yesterday would trade places with you and I’m sure they are not asking for what they are getting now
I would happily trade you. Not fun seeing yor belongings in a puddle of water in your front yard or washing down the road
Some bad boys just crossed the river from Ind. into Ky. Looks to be heading toward central Ky. Frankfort and Lex area get ready for another round.
Storm is weakening in the northern part of Franklin co., south western part looks to have the worst part for 2nd time today, mostly wind and light rain in my area, BARK, BARK!! No bite!
Almost 5 inches of rain at my house in the last two days. It’s amazing how quickly everything turns green again. This has been a real drought buster for us.
The NWS issued a severe thunderstorm warning for my area and within minutes the storm died and faded to the south west, now it is hammering folks south of here, we have had some decent rains, but we are no where near the totals of some really close to us???
Here in Mercer Co. on the lake….wish I could post a pic of the wind and clouds, but too busy getting the kids and dog in the basement. Looks like rotating wall cloud????
I notice this kind of thing. These storms will make these turns or energy seems to get sucked from one part of the storm into another – so you think it’s headed your way, and it may not materialize
