Good Monday afternoon sports fans. We are gearing up for one of the best times of the year across the state of Kentucky… March Madness. The NCAA Tourney tips off later this week and will feature 3 in state teams…. The Kentucky Wildcats, The Morehead State Eagles and The Louisville Cardinals.
Thousands of fans will be traveling to cheer on these teams with Cats fans heading to Tampa and Eagles and Cards fans heading to Denver to watch these two teams face one another. Our teams will be playing on Thursday with winners sticking around for the next round on Saturday in their respective locations. For those traveling… the weather looks pretty darn good.
TAMPA
Cats fans will enjoy some of the best weather EVER for an NCAA game as temps Thursday through Sunday will generally hug the 80 degree mark with plenty of sunshine. Take along the blue shorts as your white legs will match the team colors quite well. ![]()
DENVER
Eagles and Cards fans are likely thinking the weather in Denver is going to be nasty this time of year. While that is usually the case… not so fast, my friends. Temps from Thursday through Sunday should range from the upper 50s to low 60s for highs with partly sunny skies. There is a chance for a shower on Thursday.
For those of us who will be left behind to catch the games on TV… our weather looks pretty darn good as well. Highs Thursday and Friday will be around 70 or a tad better. Saturday will see a scattered shower and temps around 60 with Sunday rebounding back into the mid and upper 60s with some sun returning.
I will update the travel forecast as needed in the coming days. Have a great evening and take care.

So, how will the jet stream and associated weather currents affect the global deposition of the possible radioactive materials coming from the broken reactors in Japan. I do emphasize ‘possible’ as I have not yet heard confirmation that this is so. But, hypothetically speaking….
