Mid March Slushy Snow Tracker

Good Thursday afternoon everyone. This is the definition of an ugly weather day for many across the state as we have had a chilly rain falling. That is about to change as the rain mixes with and switches over to wet snow this afternoon and evening.

Odds continue to favor a slushy accumulation for many this evening and overnight with the eastern half of the state seeing the bulk of the “slop”. Grassy and elevated surfaces will see the bulk of the accumulation with a coating to an inch for many with far eastern and southeastern parts of the state getting in on some local 1″-3″ amounts… especially in the higher elevations. Far southeastern Kentucky may get in on a bit more than that and that’s something we will continue to watch for.

Thanks for the update Chris! There has been a rain snow mix here in Versaills not lasting but snow nont the less. I think that’s all we’ll see here.

Thanks for the update Chris. I sure hope the roads here in S.E. KY aren’t slick tomorrow morning. I had hoped we were through with slick driving conditions for this winter. Come on spring!

Snowing pretty nicely here in Lexington too… of course the ground is too warm and wet for any of it to stick… so there’s that.

the roads aint going gret slick unless u are on black moutain at least 2500 feet or more up, to warm and temps abocve freezing.

The pouring rain just changed to pouring the snow It is really coming down the change was so quick.The wetaher Channel even mentioned us getting in on some of the heavier snow I guess they mean 2-3 inches if more pls bring it.I love it.

It’s has been snowing non-stop in northeast Clark County since 6:30. The ground is covered and the satellite dish is blocked. So much for my dreams of Spring.

Are you Dish Network or DirecTV? I have DirecTV and some of my HD channels are out, but the other day this happened and it had a message about solar flares or sun spots or something from outer space, aliens I don’t remember. I’m Nichvegas and we’ve had snow for hours, nice dusting outside, but I can’t imagine it being my dish being froze?

Dish. It tends to occur when we have wet snow that really accumulates on the surface of the dish. Just a few swipes with the broom takes care it.
