Good afternoon, everyone. It’s a rainy and dreary day across the Commonwealth and this is a sign of things to come. Rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms will target the region, bringing an increased threat for flooding and flash flooding to the entire region.

I’m currently expecting a widespread 2″-4″ rainfall with locally higher amounts…

This would be enough to cause high water issues to develop on smaller creeks and streams and on some of our rivers. The best chance for flooding arrives Saturday night into Sunday.

The models are all in good agreement with the forecast rain numbers…

I will have another update later this evening. Until then, here are your radars to follow this first round of rain through the region…

Have a good one and take care.
