Good Sunday, everyone. Rounds of heavy rain producing thunderstorms continue to cause flooding issues across the Commonwealth. Some of these same storms may also be strong or severe, bringing the potential for hail and damaging winds.
The flooding potential remains the number one threat and major flooding is possible for some areas. We continue to get hammered by waves of showers and storms moving over some of the same areas. A few spots may pick up 4″ of rain or so just today. That comes on top of what has already fallen. Flash flooding, general flooding and river flooding will likely show up through tonight.
If you live in an area prone to flooding, please stay alert and move to higher ground if needed.
In addition to the flooding, a few strong to severe storms will be possible through tonight. The Storm Prediction Center shows the threat level across the region…
Cooler and drier air finally works in here for Monday, but rivers are likely to still be in flood.
Another system may bring a few showers at us late Tuesday into Wednesday before a colder air mass moves in for the end of the week into the weekend. Temps should go below normal for several days.
I will have updates as needed through the day. Here are all the tracking tools you need for the day…
Possible Watch Areas
Have a great Sunday and take care.
Come on next pattern…hope its the warm up I need
Looks the models from the last few days crapped themselves. Lol. They were showing up to 5″ for my area…now, barely over 1″. Good turnout indeed
