Good Friday, folks. We’ve made it to the end of the first week of March as we continue with a colder setup. It’s a seasonable brand of chill in town for the weekend as high pressure noses in from the northeast. Beyond that, a case of spring fever is on the way for next week.
Temps out there today are in the 40s for many, but a few 50s show up in the west. Our skies stay sunny and that holds through the weekend as lows drop into the 20s. Highs are in the 40s for Saturday but recover into the 50s for Sunday.
Next week sees temps heading back into the 60s and should make a run at 70 on more than one occasion. A few showers and strong storms may show up by the end of the week as this pattern begins to break down.
The following week may feature a much colder look and this is something showing up well on the EURO Ensembles…
This should begin a wetter pattern during this time and the GFS Ensembles are really hitting the week two rains…
That’s not a good look to see the bullseye of heaviest precipitation in our region. Can some of that show up in flake form? The same GFS Ensembles think so…
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! 🤬
Enjoy your Friday and take care.
The blue ball on the graph (Euro) doesn’t sink that far south. If it does sink a little more further south we might see a low pressure riding a wave to our south.
Is wet snow still a possibility?
With the beautiful blue skies here lately, which indicates plenty of cold air aloft and a upper level low riding the North edge of the Southeast Ridge, yes there would be a chance for a late Snowstorm. Maybe here or North or South of the Ohio Valley.
