Good Wednesday afternoon everyone. As I sit here and watch wimpy flurries and snow showers outside my window… I decided to take out my “I want my blizzard blues” on you.
This is what you missed…
I will have a full update coming later today… or I may find some more blizzard video to rub more salt in the wound. ![]()
Have a great rest of your day and take care.
Thank you cool.
A little on the hateful side…but cool videos! :o)
SUPER JEALOUS!!!
Just shameful CB!! But I understand, I watched the live cam outside Wrigley all night and was pretty crabby the entire time. 😉
WHY OH WHY?!!? Cant we have THAT??!!! It’s NOT FAIR!!!
lol… 🙂
AAAAAARRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH THE SALT BURNS!!! MAKE IT STOP! LOL
Chris, how about what the models are showing for the next two systems? I’d rather focus on our opportunities, not the missed chances. 🙂
Now. That my friends, IS what the Definition of Cruel and Unusal Punishment is.
Ow! Just head-butted my computer. That’s gonna leave a mark. And Phil says to put the snow shovels away? Hmm…somebody give him some Lunesta. I’m not ready to give up on winter, yet.
Speaking of Chicago, on my blog, I posted their snowfall amounts thru 10:30am. Pretty impressive considering all the great snows they’ve had on record.
http://www.mikjournal.blogspot.com
If Chris wanted to be REALLY mean he would have mentioned the GFS has completely droipped the mid-week system. No big storm, no arctic wave, NOTHING. Welcome to winter in KY. Still waiting for a big enough snow to cover the grass in Northern Pulaski….not holding my breath BTW 🙂
Wow, the last time I remember a snow like that in Kentucky was back in 1998.
I really don’t think the pattern is favorable to get a snow like that this year, and probably in a few years to come.
It seems it is working back toward this. We will see what happens.
Clarinet Man Forecast:
A few lingering flurries today, cold mid-upper 20s.
This weekend expect chilly rain, with possibly mixed precip, in the north or far east.
ROTF…….Yea, what she said!
I’ve always wondered what it was like being “On the wings of Lunesta.”
And it was like that in 1998. I remember being in Western NC in the Superstorm of 93 before moving here…It was like that as well…….I didn’t think I would ever see anything like that again and then I saw the 98 storm….And I saw no difference in the 98 storm here than the Super storm in 1993…They both impressed me.
Okay Chris Bailey!!!
I for one am very happy that we missed out on that bad storm and ice! I love snow…but not ice…so I am not complaining at all!! 🙂
Now THAT’S rubbing it in!
Maybe we’ll get a 3″ base this weekend, with a good snow to follow next week.
More likely, a mix this weekend followed by another near miss. LOL
Someone enlighten me why all those people are stranded in Chicago on the hwy? They had to know it was a blizzard warning.
The sun is shunning and it is snowing in Shelbyville.
Riddlesweather.com has been updated. Check the Oklahoma tab to see pics from the blizzard!
You know, it’s just me talking. I enjoy your site a great deal. I am not the blog police. That being said it’s kind of bad form to come on another site and advertise your own in every post you make of late. Especially when it’s a “competing site” in that it deals with the same content as Chris’s site does.
Not saying it in Chris’s defense he’s more than capable of taking care of himself so if he wants to smack me down he can. I just think it’s bad form.
I dont know why anyone would want that here it would be paralyzing not to mention the millions and millions of dollars that would be spent cleaning it up.It cost us the tax payers around 1 to 1.5 million dollars an inch to clear from roads because us Kentuckians cant drive on it we want our bare pavement.Bring on spring and the eighties!!!
Agree verbatim. Like both sites but the constant advertising is a little off….
Agree-ok every once-in-a-while but jeeze Linc don’t wear it out!
Also agree–keep your name as a link, but only refer to your site in the sense that you disagree or expand on something Chris has said–keep the conversation going–that’s always helpful, IMO
Tend to agree. Not sure how you would feel if Chris Bailey posted on your blog every time he updated kyweathercenter.
Just do your thing and if its a good product, it’ll catch on.
Absolutely agreed.
This post is really just to Lincoln. I’d hate to see you discouraged by any of what has been said above. People here are entitled to their opinions, but I for one, appreciate your youthful enthusiasm and the passion for weather that you clearly have. Not all your posts plug your blog, and I would think if Chris Bailey had a problem with that he would address it. Chris doesn’t seem to be the type to be threatened by amateur (but potentially famous in the future) forecasters of weather. Lincoln, I really enjoy your site and I love weather blogs so much, I enjoy reading multiple ones, and am glad for the notice of a new post on your site, so I know to go there and check it out. So, Lincoln, don’t be discouraged, keep your passion, and continue the great blog work. (I mean no disrespect to those who have posted above me, I just didn’t want Lincoln to get hurt or discouraged and leave this blog community.)
AGREE 100%. NO OFFENSE LINCOLN, AND YOUR SITE ISN’T TOO SHABBY AT ALL, BUT MAN, BACK OFF THE CONSTANT BARRAGE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR IT ON CHRIS’S SITE. DO WHAT PEOPLE LIKE SHANE AND MITCH DO, AND JUST LEAVE YOUR NAME LINKED. WE WILL GET THERE.
THOUGHT THIS WAS A NEAT MAP, EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE NICE COLORS:

My post went to moderation so I am trying it again–sorry if it double posts.

Yeah ok people I think he gets the point.
these people have a chance to put someone down and they do, its just everyones way of life in todays world, i have to disagree, im sure chris bailey isnt thinking of this as a competition with lincoln, get a life people. my lord
Have gone into moderation twice–maybe the third time will be the charm with getting through. Sorry if it later shows multiple posts, but getting this to Lincoln is important to me.

I love your site Lincoln. You have half ambition and passion and that will take you far. Keep up your great work….and make it snow more 🙂
Lincoln,
If CB had a problem with it, he’d send you an email dawg..
I must have missed the voting for blog police…???
I would have voted for Bubba G…!
I am currently a journalism major at UK a project we have to do is for a blog, and you have to collect a 500 view average, daily. Little bit harder to do than you would think. This site has A LOT of traffic, and we all know that. In no way am I a competing site, as I am mostly Central KY and Oklahoma. Which I am transferring to University of Oklahoma next year for meteorology. But your wish is my command no more “advertising” on this website.
AND BACK TO THE WEATHER…Looks like everyone went in to see if there was an update and all they found was a way to bash Lincoln. Hey he is only trying to be as successful as CB…GOOD LUCK!!!! I did like the Live Streaming from Moore, OK…THINK SNOW…OOOOHHH no update yet…
Lincoln, I’m with Vinny, if CB had a problem with it he would send an email. I enjoy your site as well as Larkin’s and Mitch’s. Keep up the good work young man, you have a bright future. Your enthusiasm for weather is great.
LINCOLN! I LIKE your blog, your passion and your efforts. I enjoy your updates! Please don’t disappear or stop telling us about your insight all together.
Nothing wrong with putting your link in your user name…
That’s what Mitch does, and like I said, If CB had a problem, he’d let ya’ know…
THINK SPRING..!!!
PLEASE fix the ‘moderation’ system. It is very frustrating to be stuck in moderation over and over.
Good luck with your Majors…Remember Plagiarism is illegal and fround upon……LOL…I will click you name daily to help you get your 500.
Moderation seems less with the https://www.kyweathercenter.com site…
That’s “ky” and not “kentucky”…
Just an observation…
BTW
CB hates, despises, loathes the Steelers, but he is a great sport and lets me link the Steelers web site in my name.. lol
Never fear – when all is quiet on the weather front, the masses will find something to discuss. If we can’t pick a potential storm apart, we’ll start on other bloggers.
Mr Riddle: You do a fine job with your website, and I, for one, have no problem whatsoever with you sharing your ideas via your website with us. That’s one of the perks of this blog in comparison to a few others – CB allows us to share our thoughts and views. Fresh perspectives keep things interesting…
Keep up the good work, Riddle! 🙂
Wonder who CB’s got this weekend….haha!
GO STEELERS! 😀
we need an update chris
You’re fine. Keep up the good work.
Licoln has posted the last several days to check out his blog. One reason he done this was to share a live video feed that his brother was doing out of Oklahoma for the blizzard. The video feed was amazing you got to see the storm move in. It also had lots of thunder and lightning. If you didn’t get to see it you really missed out. His brother would even go out and pick up some of the precip. so that you could get a good look at it. The one he just put asked people to go on his Oklahoma blog and look at the pics his brother had put up of the blizzard. I had also saw other people posting links on here to check out as well. I love Chris Bailey’s blog, but I check several others too, although Chris’s is the only one that I check multiple times a day. Thanks Lincoln for sharing the live feed for the blizzard. I do feel like I got to somewhat experience it. Even if it wasnt in my yard.
From Brian Goode’s Facebook page:
As far as the weekend event and early next week…I am still looking over the data and plan another evening Snow TALK! update. I will give you a hint of the things look right now (it may change of course) Advisories for snow Friday night/Saturday…..perhaps Winter Storm Warnings early next week. I will let you guys argue those thoughts for a bit. I gotta get ready for the shows!
There were multiple wrecks on Lake Shore Dr. as the storm began and everyone behind the wrecks were stuck. By the time the wrecks were cleared all the cars were snowed in. Probably should have gone home earlier, but weren’t expecting to be stuck there when the heart of the storm hit.
Chris, please block Vinny from linking the Steelers website 🙂
GO PACK GO!!!
I agree! Thanks Lincoln!
Also, Lincoln, please don’t stop linking your website. Like Vinny said, if Chris didn’t like it he would have emailed you or blocked you a long time ago. Ignore the haters.
Me too, Chris! I can remember a couple blizzards growing up. It’d be nice for my teenage daughter to see one. She gets excited just at the mention of snow. I wonder what she’d think of 2 feet of the white stuff.
