Good Saturday, folks. It’s a warmer day taking shape across Kentucky as clouds thicken ahead of a stormy setup kicking in Sunday through the first half of next week. This will bring the potential for too much rain to parts of our region.
Temps out there today reach the low 70s for many as clouds slowly work back in. Overall, this is a good looking day, but a few late day or evening showers and storms may begin to impact parts of western Kentucky. Here are your radars to follow anything that’s rolling in here…
Scattered storms will be around on Sunday, but this is NOTÂ a washout and you can find plenty of dry hours. This action looks to increase into the first half of next week…
Locally heavy rainfall numbers will likely show up during this time and that’s something we need to keep a close eye on. Again, this doesn’t look like all day type storm action.
As a ridge of high pressure tries to flex by the end of next week, temps do turn warmer and could make a run at 80 degrees…
By later in the following week, that ridge may very well back toward the west where it is likely to be for much of the upcoming summer…
That would allow for more of a trough in the eastern half of the country, bringing temps back down and increasing the rain chances again.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
I hate cool summers.
