Good Thursday, everyone. It’s a very busy setup as we roll forward as a strong cold front drops in here to start the upcoming weekend with another to follow a few days later. Both have a chance to interact with a tropical system developing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Let’s begin with today and move forward. It’s another cool/very cool start to the day with temps mainly in the 50s, but a few upper 40s show up across the east. Afternoon temps are back into the upper 70s across the east, with 80-85 farther west.

As the cold front drops in here from the north and northwest Friday night and early Saturday, it may touch off some strong to severe storms. The Storm Prediction Center already has the region in the risk area for late Friday…

Temps Friday start in the 50s again for many and then will head back into the 80s as winds gust up and humidity levels climb ahead of the front.

At the same time, our system in the Gulf Continues to develop en route toward a landfall along the central Gulf Coast…

The forecast models continue to figure out the exact interaction we get between this system and the weekend front or the front early next week.

Here’s how the EURO sees it…

Behind whatever happens with this system will come a DEEP trough delivering temps as cool or cooler than what we have experienced this week…

Make it a great day and take care.
