Good Sunday to one and all. It’s a little on the soggy side for much of the Commonwealth on this Sunday, but better weather is on the way for Labor Day. Once into next week, the pattern takes on a more interesting look with another cold front and a tropical system in the Gulf.

Let’s get this party started with a look at today’s showers and storms. A cold front is dropping in here from the northwest and it’s touching off rounds of showers and thunderstorms. These are putting down locally heavy rains with some areas winding up with an inch or so. Here are your radars to follow along…

Temps will be held in check with some areas staying upper 60s to low 70s for most of the day. Some late day clearing will try to sneak into the west and north.

Labor Day looks fantastic with highs in the low 80s for many with sunshine and pleasant air. Soak it up.

From there, we will be watching a cold front dropping in here from the north and northwest. At the same time, we have a tropical system trying to form down in the Gulf of Mexico…
