Good Tuesday to one and all. It’s another seasonably warm day across the region as humidity levels climb a bit more. This is ahead of a cold front dropping in here for Wednesday and it looks to bring the threat for a few strong storms our way. From there, we watch a tropical supply of moisture later in the week and into the weekend.
The front blowing in here late Wednesday will touch off scattered showers and thunderstorms well out ahead of it, but we will have to be on guard for a line of stronger storms to develop just ahead of the boundary. The Storm Prediction Center has our area in the low-end risk for a few severe storms Wednesday…

Given the amount of moisture in the atmosphere, some pretty hefty rain numbers may show up with some of the storms.
A few showers and storms may actually go up out there today, but this action looks pretty scattered. Here are your radars to follow along…
Nicholas developed into a hurricane shortly before coming ashore early today in Texas. The center of circulation from this will meander around Texas and Louisiana for the next few days. Here’s the latest from the National Hurricane Center…

Once that system finally decides to move later in the week, it will be a shell of what it is now. Still, it will help send tropical rain producing showers and storms in here from the southwest later in the week into the upcoming weekend…
The setup next week is one to watch as the potential is there for a fairly deep cutoff system to show up. This is something the control run of the Euro Ensembles has been showing and now most of the operational models are showing this as well…
The evolution of these types of systems can be a headache to forecast. I mean… Who doesn’t want another headache to deal with in life? 😎
Have a great day and take care.

Looks like the weather is starting to pick up again.
The various weather models are not agreeing making it difficult for weather forecasters. Maybe as we get later into the Autumn season things will change in model weather forecasting ?
At this time long range weather forecasting for the Fall and Winter is very uncertain like life.
The Farmer Alamac forecast sure was interesting for the up coming winter. About year ago there were some speculating that the sun spots were getting smaller and would cool the earth down by late 2021 and into 2022 weather that’s true will only time will tell., Only mother nature knows. Have a good day!!
Yeah, my county (Taylor) is right in the middle of the “Cold and Snowy section.”
Hope it pans out ?
