Good evening, folks. We’ve made it to the middle of the week and it’s all downhill toward the weekend. It’s also downhill in terms of our weather pattern as a series of systems promise to bring active weather to the region for the closing 10 days of October.

The first system is set to blow through here on Thursday with a band of showers and thunderstorms. The greatest chance of this is across the eastern half of the state during the afternoon hours. Behind this front will be some low clouds and scattered showers for Friday and Friday night…

The NAM fam of models keep running on the chilly side with the air behind our front. Check out the temps from 8pm Thursday through 8pm Friday…

Winds are also going to be very gusty during this time with some 30mph+ gusts Thursday…

Another system rolls in with rain and some thunder Sunday and Monday and that kicks off a very busy pattern to close out October. Even the EURO Ensembles are picking up on the trough working into the east later next week…

If you want some winter talk, check out my post from last night.

My next update will be much more in depth on the setup next week and into early November. I’ll see you guys then. Enjoy the evening and take care.
