Good afternoon, folks. Rounds of rain continue to increase across the region as a slow-moving storm system works into our part of the world. This thing will linger into the start of the Halloween weekend before finally getting out of here just in time for some trick or treating. Interesting signals continue to show up for early November as Old Man Winter tries to wake up a little earlier than normal.
In terms of the current system, I have nothing left to add. This has been talked about for well over a week now and all I can do is hook you up with the radars to track the action…

Halloween continues to look much better with partly cloudy skies and temps in the upper 50s to low 60s for highs.
The setup for next week continues to look interesting as it takes on a winter look to it. The models continue to advertise a much colder than normal setup and the potential for some flakes to fly around here or very close by.
Check out the average temp departures over a 5 day period from November 2-7…

What about some flake action? The GFS has been advertising the possibility for a while and continues to do so…
The EURO has also joined the flaky fray…
The fact we aren’t even to Halloween and we already have some winter weather potential to track for the first week of November is pretty cool! Now, let’s see if the pattern can deliver some very early season flake action. ❄❄
Enjoy the rest of your day and take care.
