Good evening, folks. As expected, we continue with a calm pattern across the region and this is exactly what #TeamSpring is all about. This calm pattern will try to change up Super Bowl Weekend into next week, but that’s another story.
We know we have a few week systems dropping in through the rest of the week. Temps spike and drop with each one of these moisture starved systems.
Super Bowl Weekend continues to see a much bigger dip in the jet stream, but the models still aren’t doing a whole lot at the surface as they keep any system suppressed to our southeast.

That’s a healthy shot of cold, but it should bounce out pretty quickly.
A ridge of high pressure will build in early next week as a big dip in the jet stream works into the central part of the state…

This type of setup usually fires up a big plains storm system, but that’s still a week or so away.
Until then, I’m going to enjoy the calm and hope nothing comes of the Super Bowl Weekend system. 😎
Enjoy the rest of your Dey and take care.
In the Canadian, there seems to be more of a” negative tilt ” to the trough. If phasing did happen a Snowstorm may form within areas in the trough ( Western and Central Kentucky ? )
