Good afternoon, folks. It’s another gorgeous day across the region and we have one more before things change for the weekend. This is no ordinary weekend as my Bengals are in the Super Bowl, so I have a lot riding on the forecast.

Once into the weekend, we do see changes with a cold front dropping in here to start things out Friday night. Ahead of this, temps surge deep into the 50s and may hit 60 in the south and west. Gusty showers move through here ahead of the front with a period of light snow possible right behind it on Saturday. Gusty northwest winds will usher in much colder air and could also touch off a few snow showers and flurries.

A clipper follows that with some light snow Super Bowl Sunday night into Monday morning…

Cold air continues to push in behind that, but southwest winds look to kick in by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. That’s ahead of what may be a big plains/Mississippi Valley storm system…

The early signal from this could mean heavy rain, strong storms and high winds around here. The GFS wind gust forecast is showing the possibilities…

The EURO has a similar storm system…

The Canadian is much farther south with this…

Enjoy the rest of your Dey and take care.
