Friday Afternoon Thoughts

Good afternoon, folks. It’s a very windy and warm day and this is leading to some forest fire issues across the region. Today’s winds are ahead of a big cold front that knocks the numbers down for the weekend as we also track a little light snow.

My concern is also growing for a severe weather threat later next week.

Temps today are reaching 60-65 across the southern half of the state with temps in the 50s in the north. Winds of 40mph or greater are also showing up.

Rain arrives this evening from northwest to southeast. Here are your radars to follow along…

The air behind this is really cold from Saturday. A few rounds of light snow and flurries will show up and some areas can pick up light accumulations from time to time, especially in the central and east.

Temps rebound by the middle of next week ahead of a potent storm system moving from the Mississippi Valley into the Great Lakes Wednesday and Thursday…

That’s a heavy rain and high wind maker around here with the increasing potential for strong to severe storms. In a rare move, the SPC already has a risk area out for areas of western Kentucky…

That’s definitely a setup to keep a close eye on in the coming days.

Enjoy the rest of your Dey and take care.

Thanks Chris, hopefully this awful Wind will settle down and Rain Showers develop later this evening ?

Forest Fires already and Severe Weather in the Forecast. This is just two Perils why I Hate Spring in this part of the Country.

    GO BENGALS !!!

Your comment got me thinking. I think for me my seasons would be in order from favorite to least favorite … Winter…Fall…..Summer….Spring… Don’t get me wrong.. I still like spring….but if I were forced to rank seasons spring would be the last because of the up and downs.
