Good evening, everyone. It’s an awesome start to the weekend, but things are about to turn rather stormy once into Sunday and Monday. That action is ahead of a bigger change coming in for next week as winter tries to flex a little.
A warm front is lifting northward through the region tonight and ushering in some May temps for Saturday. Highs are deep into the 70s with the chance for an 80 across the west.
Scattered showers and storms will then increase on Sunday a a system gets closer to the region. Some of these storms may be strong, especially in the west. This is where the Storm Prediction Center has a low-end risk for severe storms…
Additional rounds of showers and storms move in for Monday and a few of those could be strong. This looks like a general 1″-3″ of rain for many…

Winds will also be super gusty through Monday and the GFS is showing gusts of 50mph at times…
The pattern after this turns colder on Tuesday with more seasonable temps in store through the middle of the week. Beyond that, there’s still a huge dip in the jet stream coming later in the week…
That unleashes a very cold pattern and it may also bring some winter weather in here. #TeamSpring ain’t happy.
Enjoy the rest of the day and take care.
