Good Saturday, folks. It’s another below normal temperature day across the Commonwealth but things are in better shape than the past few days. As we look ahead, buckle up because we have a wild weather ride taking shape for the week ahead of us. Gulp!
Highs today reach the mid 50s to low 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. A weak system zips through the Ohio Valley this evening and brings a few showers with it. Here are your radars…
Sunday looks good with highs back into the 60s and partly sunny skies. Overall, this looks like a great day to get outside and enjoy.
This nice weather continues into Monday as clouds increase. I can’t rule out a late day shower or storm as moisture increases ahead of low pressure moving in from the southwest. This brings more widespread action in her for Tuesday…
That will be followed up by a very strong cold front moving through here on Wednesday. This may very well bring strong to severe storms in here before the day is over…
That’s being pushed by a major dip in the jet stream that will bring frigid temps with it for the end of the week into next weekend. It’s also a setup that can produce rain and snow showers around here. What the what? Yep…
That looks absolutely ugly, folks. Of course, this has been talked about here since mid-March. 😜
This cold should get pushed around a few days later with a ridge of high pressure taking control into the following week as the trough goes to the west…
That’s a warm look that should also give us severe weather chances.
Does that mean true spring is officially underway? I can still see some cold shots following that up, so maybe not.
Enjoy the day and take care.
Thanks Chris, In March we recorded 2.29 inches of precipitation and an average temperature of 49.2 degrees. Four inches of Snow was recorded early in the Month.
This morning we had a record low temperature of 25 degrees, which probably did some damage to unprotected plants ?
Looking forward to warmer days ahead !!!
