Good Monday to one and all. We’re coming off a stretch of stormy and wet weather across the state and that’s exactly what the weather doctor ordered. This week is starting off on a nice note and we have more nice weather on the way before storms work back in by the weekend.
Temps today into Tuesday range from the upper 80s to around 90 in most areas. Humidity levels are still fairly low, so the sweat factor won’t be very high.
A cold front works in here by late Tuesday into early Wednesday. This brings a band of showers and storms with it…

The air behind this front is very nice with temps averaging a little below normal for the 5 day period starting Wednesday….
The threat for showers and storms will then kick in over the weekend into early next week as a heat ridge begins to build to the west of us. Throw in a little bit of juice from the Gulf of Mexico and things may get wet for a bit…

The more of a system we see across the southeast, the less of a chance for that big heat ridge in the west to advance this far east. That’s certainly something to watch for over the next week or so. I always tell you guys that the tropics will absolutely bully just about any kind of pattern across the country. Tropical systems are the biggest wild card in medium range forecasting from late summer into early fall.

If that Huge High Pressure Ridge in the Western Plains State gets Stronger and Expands Eastward into the Ohio Valley it will Be an Agricultural Disaster, but lets Hope and Pray this doesn’t happen.
Even thought we have endure impressive heat at least we get breaks in between.
I hope those’s in between breaks continue ? Remember the Heat and Drought of the late 1980’s ? Lasted a longtime and everyone thought it would never end, but it did in the early 1990’s.
