Good Wednesday to one and all. Our weather over the past few days has been nothing short of amazing and this nice run is just getting started. Our fall feel will soon trend back toward a seasonable brand of summertime highs by the weekend.
Highs today are in the mid and upper 70s across the eastern half of the state with upper 70s and low 80s in the west. Humidity levels are low and skies are mainly sunny.
Temps hit the 80-85 degree range for many for the rest of the week into the weekend. The west will do it a little warmer, but humidity levels continue to be pleasant. Dry skies continue during this time and this trend continues into the first half of next week, at least.

That increase in the hurricane activity being shown by the models is also showing up with features of interest from the National Hurricane Center…
It’s been way too quiet, folks. Is the lid about to come off the hurricane season?
The ENSEMBLES continue to point toward the return of a trough the following week…
Looking at the new EURO Weeklies, we find the potential to set up a colder than normal October. You can see how the seasonal model is putting a trough into the east from September 26-October 26…
You can almost see the frosty cold mornings on that run! 🥶😁
Make it a great day and take care.
sometimes we need a break and we need boring weather…..but after a few days of boring weather….I’m ready for it to change. I think I’d go crazy living somewhere where the weather is like this almost every day of the year.
Nice!
Perfect weather. I’m liking the lower dew points, but the only factor that resembles Autumn is the longer nights and cooler mornings.
A colder October can only happen in a ‘ La Nina Fall ‘ if the AO and NAO become very very negative to overcome this currently strong La Nina, but the potential is always there for this to occur. Example Fall 1917.
The Canadian weather model showing the potential for a ‘ Tropical Cyclone ‘ forming in the Gulf of Mexico may cause some real danger ? We hope this doesn’t happen, as the Gulf is very warm and there isn’t any factor to inhibit formation now as we had earlier in the season.
Weather like we’re having this week is why September may be my favorite weather month for Northern and Central Kentucky.
By next week however I’ll be wishing for rain chances and slightly cooler temps!
Nineties are showing up in my local forecast for the weekend UGh ! No mention of any measurable rain for the next several days. That’s bad too as we are very dry here in Taylor County. Wild Fire danger is high. Good news is there won’t be any lawn mowing anytime soon.
