Good evening, folks. November is off and running with a lot of clouds and spotty showers, but the temps are getting ready to climb. That climb is part of a slow-moving pattern that’s also evolving toward more of a wintry look later in the month.

Clouds will continue to be a bit stubborn over the next few days with the sun making the occasional appearance. There’s even the chance for a light shower or two Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Milder winds kick in for the end of the week as we watch a storm system develop in the plains and work our way. Temps ahead of this reach 70-75 and that mild air may set the stage for a showers and storms to sweep across the state Saturday and Saturday night.

The GFS tries, but is once again the odd man out with the final solution…

Remember, the faster we can get that system out of the way, the faster we can get into a colder pattern that threatens to turn wintry for the second half of the month.

We will take a longer range look with the next update tonight.

Make it a great day and take care.
