Good evening, folks. As our temps become more normal for the next several days, we continue to look ahead toward the busy Thanksgiving Weekend and a big storm system set to sweep through here.

It continues to look like two systems impact our region with the first arriving late Thanksgiving. The stronger system then follows that up Saturday into Sunday.

The NAM only goes through Thanksgiving evening, but is picking up on the initial rain chance…

The GFS now looks similar…

We are now seeing the GFS getting stronger with the second system, but it’s still likely too progressive…

That’s closer to what the EURO is spitting out with both systems, but I think the Saturday/Sunday storm is too wrapped up and a bit too far west…

Overall, that’s a large an impactful storm system for our region. Winds will be an issue and may gust to 40mph at times.

The setup for next week continues to get attention for a quick rise in temps ahead of a potent plains storm. This could be a strong storm maker before cold air crashes in…

That’s something to watch for.

It’s also interesting to note how the Canadian is squashing that system with colder air coming quicker…

We shall see, but the signs are there for some bitterly cold shots for December.

I’ll have the full update for you later tonight. Make it a good one and take care.
