Good evening, kiddos. Rain and wind continue to overspread the region from the southwest. This will bring the potential for high winds that can cause issues later tonight into Sunday. All this kicks off that super busy pattern I’ve been talking about. A pattern that will eventually unleash some big time cold in December.

I don’t have anything else to say about the system moving through tonight and Sunday. Wind gusts of 40-50mph will be common for a while and many areas get in on some soaking rains with a rumble of thunder possible.

Here are your radars…

The next system moving in late Tuesday and Wednesday remains fairly well behaved. The EURO is the fastest in bringing this front across the state Wednesday morning. The chance is there for a few strong storms and winds gusting to 5omph once again…

Cold air crashes in behind this front. We go from the 60s Tuesday night and Wednesday morning to wind chills in the teens by late Wednesday evening. There’s even the chance for a few flakes to fly just beind the front.

Thursday looks seasonably cold to start December.

I’ve made no bones about where I think this pattern is going as we get closer to the middle of December… Frigid! The Canadian Ensembles continue to unleash the cold starting on December 6th and going through the end of the run on December 12th…

The GFS Ensembles have now joined in on singing the same cold tune…

I’ll deep dive into the cold setup with my overnight update.

Have a great rest of the evening and take care.
