Good evening, folks. My time is short on this Monday evening, but I wanted to drop by to hit the high points of the forecast as we roll through a wet week and one looking more like winter into next week.
A few showers have moved into central and eastern Kentucky this evening and the rain will increase overnight into Tuesday. Here are your radars…
Rounds of heavy rain will continue to push across the region through the week and into the coming weekend. It’s not going to rain all the time, but heavy rain amounts will be noted. Most of the models are showing a general 1″-4″ rainfall across the state with locally higher amounts in the south…
The pattern after this will feature big changes coming into play for next week. One southern system may bring some moisture in here on Sunday, but a bigger storm system blows into the region on Tuesday and Wednesday. This the one I talked about having a brief spike in temps before things come crashing down…
Check out that cold coming in behind it all…
It’s good to see the operational European Model matching the thoughts of the Ensembles. For those wondering… The Ensembles go much deeper in time than the operational model does, so now that things are withing range of the op… It’s good to see agreement.
I’ll see you guys later tonight. Enjoy the evening and take care.
Wow, that looks like dangerously bitter cold for old Folks like me. Hate to see what my heating bill will be this month.
