Good Tuesday, everyone. A wintry mix is making for nasty travel across the area early this morning. This is the first of three waves of winter weather moving through Kentucky over the next few days. Light continues to be the key word.

Sleet, freezing rain and some light snow are out there this morning as our first band slowly fades by late this morning. Areas of the southeast likely won’t see much of this, but the rest of the state will have hazardous roads to deal with.

After a break this afternoon, another round of light wintry mix works in from the southwest. This won’t be quite as widespread as what is moving through early today, but it can cause additional travel issues this evening and tonight.
