Good evening, folks. It’s a cold start to the first weekend of February, but milder days are on the way. This switch to milder will be accompanied by a lot of wind blowing in later Saturday into Sunday. The longer range features more changes into next week.

Let’s talk about those winds. Southwest gusts kick in later Saturday and peak Saturday night and Sunday morning. Those gusts may reach 45mph in some spots…

Temps by Sunday hit the 50s with a mix of sun and clouds. We keep the 50s into Monday as strong southwest winds continue. That wind will carry us into Tuesday and is ahead of a storm system coming at us from the southwest. Temps by Tuesday may reach 60…

This storm system looks to bring fairly widespread rain from late Tuesday through Wednesday, at least….

The signal for a winter type system to follow this is still there. The GFS (for whatever that’s worth) continues to lead the charge, but differs from run to run. Here are the last two runs of the model for this same system…

For now, it’s nothing more than a signal worth watching.

Enjoy the rest of your evening and take care.
