Good evening, folks. It’s a GREEN THUMB ALERT tonight as temps drop deep into the 30s and may even go below freezing in a few spots. This cold night is part of a big-time blocking pattern across North America and it can deliver some wild weather over the next few weeks.
Before we look ahead, here’s a look back to this morning…
Lows tonight will likely reach 32 or below for several spots.
Clouds will increase Sunday afternoon with some showers arriving Sunday night and Monday. These showers come from an impulse rotating around the big upper low spinning across the Great Lakes and northeast.
The future radar from the Hi Res NAM shows the showers well…
The stage is still set for a big storm system late next week into the weekend. One that can bring gusty winds, strong storms and heavy rainfall before November temps swing back in behind it…
I’m seeing signs of another deep system coming in after that one later this month. I look at that setup from 2 weeks away and think… Hmm.
Enjoy the rest of your day and take care.
