Good evening, folks. It’s another windy and mild day wrapping up and we have more of the same for the rest of the week. Big changes blow in after that with a wintertime look and feel to the pattern by Halloween and into early November.

We know the mild weather is ruling the week, so let’s talk about the changes. The first round of showers looks to show up by the time we hit Friday as scattered showers press across the region…

Those showers are ahead of a front that never makes it into the region. That slows down over the weekend before finally crashing through here late Sunday and Monday with the cold air surging in behind it. The models also show the upper low dropping in with the chance for another shower of rain or snow showing up with that by the start of November.

Here’s the EURO…

The Canadian is much stronger with the upper low and that shows up with more blue on the map…

The air is really cold behind this system, but I’m not sure it gets to the levels of the Canadian. These are wind chill numbers from late Halloween into the first 2 days of November…

Yea… That’s too cold but it’s an indication of what we are looking at.

Enjoy the evening and take care.
