Good evening, folks. We are putting the wraps on a great weekend of fall weather across Kentucky. Mild temps will roll on through the middle of the upcoming week before colder weather sweeps in with rain leading the charge.
Temps continue to climb this week with 70 or better showing up on more than one occasion through Wednesday. Southwest winds will be gusty during this time as we await the arrival of a strong cold front later Thursday and Friday.
This front has a wave of low pressure along it with a nice shot of rain as colder air moves in behind it…

There’s another upper level system dropping in behind this late in the weekend and early next week but the models are still trying to figure this out. This system looks to be east of what dipped in here for Halloween, giving us only a glancing blow…

You can clearly see how the true wintertime cold is aimed more to the northeast of us.
Temps later that week surge and turn very mild once again before a much greater change looks to show up for Thanksgiving week. I’ll focus on that more in the coming days.
Enjoy the rest of the evening and take care.
