Good evening, folks. The overall pattern continues to be one straight out of March here in the first full week of February. Changes continue to show up by the end of the week and those changes lead us back into a full-blown winter pattern starting next week.

The first change coming at us is a cold front arriving Friday. This brings gusty showers and a rumble of thunder with it…

That will be followed up by a stronger storm system rolling through here Sunday and Monday. That’s likely a rain maker, but it could end as some flakes on Monday as temps tank.  Another system follows that up a day or two later…

This is on the leading edge of a this major pattern change and the operational models like the EURO are showing this well now…

That’s a major dip in the jet stream and, if true, would deliver arctic air into much of the central and eastern half of the country late next week…

Enjoy the evening and take care.
