Happy New Year to my blogging family! I wanted to say a big thank you for making 2011 our most successful year yet on the blog. I appreciate each and everyone of you for all you do for us and look forward to an even better 2012.

I have NO changes on the weather for the next few days. A recap:

– Cold front blasts through here Sunday with winds gusting to 40mph at times.

– Temps start well into the 40s before crashing into the 30s by late afternoon.

– The front should have a ribbon of rain showers along it and there could be a snow shower or two floating around late in the day.

– The real arctic blasts arrives Monday with a period of light snow and snow showers across the central and east.

– Northwesterly winds mean snow showers and squalls late Monday into Tuesday for the central and east. Some accumulation a good bet.

– Highs in the 20s for Monday and Tuesday with lows in the teens by Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Gusty winds make it feel even colder.

– Still think a clipper will impact parts of the state later Wednesday and Thursday.

– Pattern has shifted to one featuring troughs digging in to our region and another one should arrive next weekend.

I will try to have a full update later tonight. It is New Year’s Eve after all.

I leave you with a special song from Uncle George and the gang…

Happy New Year and take care!!!!
