Good evening, folks. Nice took control of the weather today and this runs through the next few days, giving us a very pleasant Valentine’s Day. Beyond that, a cold shot moves in for the weekend and will be accompanied by some snow and rain to start things out.

The EURO shows a mainly light snow maker rolling eastward across the entire state…

The Canadian is weaker and is also mainly showing light snow…

The GFS is likely too strong and too far north with our system. The current look from the model has rain, some mix and a bit of snow…

Watch for that to trend farther to the south.

That’s a deep trough sweeping into the eastern half of the country, but the Pacific pattern is just not cooperating like we need it to for these troughs to stick and hold. Instead, they’re being pushed out very quickly by Pacific air flooding the country…

#TeamSpring is ok with this.

Enjoy the evening and take care.
