Good evening, folks. We are putting the wraps on February with some seasonably chilly temps. March looks to roll in with more seasonable chilly, but it’s bringing some showers along for the ride for day one.

The showers roll into western Kentucky late tonight then overspread the rest of the area through Friday. The greatest concentration of rain is across central and eastern Kentucky through Friday night…

Locally heavy rains will be possible with this across the east and southeast. A few of the models are spitting out 1″ rainfall numbers…

Milder winds kick in over the weekend, especially on Sunday. That wind brings in temps surging into the 65-70 degree range for many with low 70s coming for Monday. This is ahead of series of systems impacting our weather for the rest of the week…

That’s a setup that put down quite a bit of rain across our region, so we have to keep a close eye on that.

Enjoy the final evening of February and take care.
